Use Polkadot{.js} App with Jade Wallet

If you are familiar with Polkadot, you may know the most secure way to access Polkadot / Kusama / Parachains is using polkadot{.js} app with Parity Signer.

We are thrilled to announce that Jade Wallet has been compatible with polkadot{.js} app, thus users can do most actions/extrinsics supported on Polkadot / Kusama via using it with Jade Wallet.

Connect Jade Wallet to Polkadot{.js} App

  1. On iPhone, go to DiscoverSubstrate Portal in Jade Wallet.
    On laptop, visit https://polkadot.js.org/apps. Click ‘Add via Qr’, then allow polkadot{.js} app to access laptop’s camera.

  2. In Jade Wallet, select a wallet you want to add its account to polkadot{.js} app. The QR-code will refresh once you have select a wallet.
    In polkadot{.js} app, scan the QR-code displayed in Jade Wallet.

  3. In polkadot{.js} app, click ‘Save’.

  4. Done.

Make a transaction via Polkadot{.js} App

Send DOT
  1. In polkadot{.js} app, click ‘send’. Then fill the ‘send funds’ form.

  2. Click ‘Make Transfer’ then review the transaction.

  3. In polkadot{.js} app, click ‘Sign via Qr’. It would pop a modal contains a QR-code.
    In Jade Wallet, click the button at top right corner to scan the QR-code.

  4. In Jade Wallet, review the transaction. Then click ‘Confirm’ to create a transaction order.

  5. Confirm and cosign the transaction with other wallet members.
  6. Jade Wallet will broadcast the signed transaction to Polkadot.
Crowdloan
  1. In polkadot{.js} app, go to NetworkParachains.

  2. Click ‘Crowdloan’ tab. Select an active parachain to ‘Contribute’.

  3. Edit the ‘contribution’ field. Then click ‘Contribute’.

  4. Review the transaction. Click ‘Sign via Qr’.

  5. In Jade Wallet, scan the QR-code displayed in polkadot{.js} app.

  6. Review the transaction. Then click ‘Confirm’ to create a transaction order.
  7. Confirm and cosign the transaction with other wallet members.
  8. Jade Wallet will broadcast the signed transaction to Polkadot.
